Dr. Karen Taniguchi received her bachelor's degree and dental degree from UCLA. She completed her pediatric dental training at USC School of Dentistry. Community activities include volunteering in the Give Kids a Smile Day in Los Angeles and Alameda and making class presentations to Alameda elementary schools and Head Start classrooms. She has also lectured to dental study groups, parent groups and appeared on the radio show, “Childhood Matters.” Dr. Taniguchi is also a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, is on staff at Children’s Hospital Oakland and serves on the regional craniofacial board for Kaiser Oakland hospital. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the Alameda Dental Society. Some of her hobbies include skiing, biking and fly fishing.
